Frequently Asked Questions

  1. How long do I wear one APC before removing or discarding?

The APC is designed to be used more than one time and remain effective.  The number of uses per APC depends upon the amount of time each APC is used.  If the APC is worn all day, the chip can be used for up to two (2) days and should be discarded after the second day of use.  If the APC is worn for shorter periods (like during a workout, sports practice, or other strenuous activity), the APCs can be used up to three (3) times effectively.

In between uses, the APCs can be effectively stored by leaving the underside of the chip (the adhesive part) exposed and away from contact with other surfaces – similar to the way one might set aside a DVD or CD.  When athletic tape is used to keep the APC in place on the body, simply tear off the portion of the tape around the APC and discard the remainder.

  2. Where do I place the APC on my body?

There are many different meridians on the human body that are ideal for APC placement.  Some of the places are better for all-day use while others are more beneficial for short-term physical activity such as a football practice, tennis match, or workout.  The best (and most convenient) placement for short-term use during intense physical activity is on each wrist (Pericardium 6) secured with athletic tape.  Click here for an illustration.   For all-day use, see below.

    All Day Placement Diagram

    1. Chest Point
    2. Follow collar bone where it meets clavicle, go down about two inches and place APC on the soft, spongy part.  Place an APC on each side of the chest.

    3. Knee Point
Sit with foot flat on the floor, cup your hand over the knee, and place APC where your ring finger falls (soft, spongy part).  Place an APC on the outside of each knee.
    4.

    5. Ankle Point
Inside ankle bone, feel on shin bone, about two to four inches up, move fingers up until you locate a painful and place APC.  Place an APC on the inside of each angle.

NOTE: AC will NOT adhere to skin conditioned with lotions. If hairy, you may need to shave areas where APC’s are to be placed.

  3. When should I wear the APC’s?

You want to wear The S.W.A.T.S. APC whenever you are doing any type of physical activity like yard work, golf, sports practice or game, workout, or training.  For three to four days out of the week, wear the APC all day long to help promote energy flow and all the recovery properties that are beneficial to athletes and the everyday consumer.Athletes want to ware the APCs during all strenuous physical activity.

The APCs are most effective during intense workouts, practices, and games – the athlete will notice instant and significant gains in strength, stamina, endurance, and recovery on the field, in the gym, or on the court.

  4. Where do I place the Pain Management APC?

The placement of the Pain Management APC depends on where your pain is located. You want to place one (1) APC directly on the pain and at least one (1) other APC on the area surrounding the pain. Sometimes, depending on the location of the pain, it is helpful to place one (1) APC on each side of the pain (for example: rotator cuff, lower back, and neck pain). See diagram below.

  5. How long do I leave the Pain Management APC on my body?

Each Pain Management APC should be left on the body for at least 24 hours. The APCs will sometimes remain adhesive and stick to the skin for longer, but should be removed and discarded after 48 hours. If an APC comes off the skin before 24 hours have passed, replace with another Pain Management APC.

  6. When should I be able to feel results?

The Pain Management APCs begin working immediately and relief should be felt instantly. It is common, when applying multiple APCs, to feel the pain “move” as each APC is applied.

  7. Will the Pain Management heal my ailment?

Each Pain Management APC, like other pain relievers, do not heal problem areas in the human body. The APCs are not going to correct physical problems such as a broken bone or torn ligament – the chips will provide instant pain management.

  8. How many Pain Management APCs should I use at one time?

The number of Pain Management APCs used at one time depends on the location of the pain. At least one (1) APC should be used at a time, and many areas and injuries merit three (3) APCs. See the diagram below for some examples of typical pain areas and the appropriate placement of the Pain Management APCs:
